<p>You can always go to dining services and add money to your card. I opted to not a get a meal plan one semester and didn’t like paying taxes. I then went to dining services and added $500 in wave bucks. </p>
<p>Therefore: I didn’t opt into a Bruff meal plan and I was able to still get the tax exemption.</p>
<p>I’m almost positive you can do the same with Nola bucks. </p>
<p>UNFORTUNATELY with forcing sophomores into a meal plan (?) I don’t know the viability of such an option. I did that my sophomore year though.</p>
