Adjustment Lottery is over, let's change the topic to "Rush" :P Can a freshman choose a single room at any dorm besides MacGregor?

I'm not really familiar with entries other than D and A, sorry. You'll get a chance to find out more about the culture of each entry during in-house rush, if you end up there.

In other dorms, there are sometimes singles available for freshmen, but it's usually not something you "choose" -- the room assignment chair for the dorm will assign people to rooms, which includes assigning them to any available singles. There will probably be a place on a form to indicate whether you're interested in a single if available.

um. is anyone pretty unhappy about their readjustment lottery? Any one get in their first/second choice and are (very) happy?

I got my first and only choice, BC, so it worked out great. Everything at this school has worked out perfectly so far.

Haha, don't expect the perfection to last for long. =P

Where in BC are you living?

Who's unhappy? There is a process to request a transfer to other dorms. They usually go through eventually, but sometimes the wait is pretty long (depending on the popularity of the dorm/ the length of its waiting list).

I got lotteried into NH and am in House 5. I find the people fairly outgoing. I guess everything is relative, though.
