So now that I got accepted to GW, I am stating to look at dorm rooms. And while I want to have fun in college and get my fair share of partying at GW, I also want to be serious about school. For this reason I don't think thurston hall is the place for me. I still want to live in the city, but are the other dorms as nice as thurstons (Lafayette, Crawford. etc...). Of the dorm rooms which are considered to be the nicest for freshmen.

Do not automatically rule out living in Thurston because of what you've heard. Although it has the largest amount of freshmen, and many do like to party, we are ALSO serious about our studies. If you are distracted then you can always go to the library to study. Further, we are respectful of each others need for quiet or privacy when necessary. I have friends in both Crawford and Lafayette and do not regret living in Thurston.

Well said, MsBC
