Can we choose single room dorms as freshman?

OK I totally did not see coincolctr's post that was there a minute ago. If only I could delete this one.

I just asked that same exact question!! Lol.

Great minds think alike

Well I guess this post is the first piece of evidence to support that saying. :)

Townhouse is the best if u have friends with u. I live in a townhouse with 3 other HS friends. Huge space, price of single. Party or LAN party every weekend.

yes, you have the option of choosing, but be forewarned there is no gurantee of anything. it is very likely to get a single if you request it, less liekly with a double; I had people on my hall who requested doubles but got singles.

If you are a girl and request Balch, you will get it-I rrecommend it-the rooms are huge and gorgeous-and each has a sink and two closets!

You will also probably get a townhouse if you request-most don't because they are afraid you won't meet anyone, but it is actually a great arrangement-you get a house for the price of a dorm.

I heard single rooms suck b/c it can be so lonely, not to mention that you lose out on a friend right from the start (hopefully you become friends), i definately want a double, is it that hard to get a double?

Depends...most likely you will, but no guarantees. often there are more people who request doubles than doubles themselves. I say go for it. Even if you are unlucky, you might like a single alot!
