Dorm Room Quality?

This is for all current GT students or prospective students who have visited GT. How are the dorms (especially freshmen dorms)? That is, quality of roommate selection (they only have 4 questions to match you up with someone...a little thin), space within the dorms, AC, etc.

Also, I am considering applying for honors, do honors program students get better dorms or something? I know they have their own place on campus with PSP recipients, but just wondering if they have better rooms. Thanks!

Honors kids get co-ed dorms and PL's that let them drink in the study lounge...lucky sob's. Other than that, they're pretty much the same

Each dorm has AC and heating although I can't guarantee it'll always work when you want it. Quads are much bigger than doubles. I stayed in a quad my freshman year, put all the beds and desks in one room and it turned out to be a lot of space...can't really do much with the doubles, they're quite small.
Tech seemed to do really good with my roommate selection, we all hung out and did the same stuff...although some people really get screwed, its kinda hit or miss.

Thanks for the insight! I couldn't find this information on their website and in the booklet they sent me. And I also have a couple more questions.

Are co-ed dorms at GT female/male floors, rooms, or roommates? because I have seen all of these types in colleges I visited. Also, sorry if this is a stupid question but what are PL's?

In the freshman dorms...it's coed by floor, but guys hang out on the girls floor, girls hang out on the guys floor, etc. And PL's are just Tech's version of RA's. It stands for peer leader and each floor gets about 4 of them, some are cool...others can really suck.
