I was wondering if the dorm room walls(I'm in Hedrick) were concrete or normal walls. Do you have to tape up posters or do push pins work? Also, I was wondering if anyone knew the rules on screwing stuff into the walls. I want to screw a surfboard rack in the wall so my board wont take up too much room in my room...can I?

I haven't been in Hedrick yet (although I'm living in 5 North next year), in Rieber and Sproul there is stuff on the walls that you can stick push pins into. As far as screwing stuff into the wall I don't know, doesn't seem like you could though. If you're worried about not having room for your surfboard you could probably just stick it in your closet. I have tons of room left in mine right now.

The high-rise walls are concrete. You'll need push-pins to set up posters because the walls are covered with a bulletin board-like fabric material. You're probably not allowed to screw any racks into the wall though.

Not all high-rise walls are concrete. Every few walls will be, and the others will just be regular dry-wall. You aren't allowed to poke holes or mount stuff on the walls, though. Some of the floors (upper floors of Sproul and Rieber, for instance) have the entire wall covered in corkboard, which you can use push-pins to put whatever you want on.

Yes, I am on Rieber 6 right now and everything is cork board. But since it's summer I only have one poster up right now. Haha.
