<p>There are so many shelf-stable things that don't require refrigeration. Microwave rices (you don't even add water); pouches of chicken breast, salmon, tuna, pasta and marinara. Emergency meals don't have to be disastrous or pizza. Avoid ramen --it's salty and fatty. Try single serve sugarless fruit and applesauce cups. Buy whole fruit or walk out of the cafeteria with a piece after every meal.</p>

<p>I think i would get tired of MREs if i had them too often, and beleive me I'v tried them. The first time you have them you think wow this is pretty cool all i need is water and i have food, and i think it tases good. Beleive me after having jambila once its all down hill.</p>

<p>Jambila? MRE's aren't so bad, it's just that theire packed like with a crapload of calories and greasy food.</p>

graham crackers
oatmeal
anything that comes packaged and is cheap to buy
those soup things that you microwave for like 2 mins
lots of candy</p>

<p>Swill. Hehe. Nothing like washing down some grits and rice pudding with a bowl of swill. It may give you a nasty case of the runs, though.</p>
