<p>does anyone know if you can loft your bed? I was hoping to but extra storage underneath it</p>
<p>And also does anyone know about wireless in the dorms (IV in particular)? Will we need to buy a special router or airport type of thing?

<p>Most dorm rooms already have lofted beds, if they aren’t lofted you can usually loft them yourself. </p>
<p>Internet may have changed since I was in dorms, used to just be an ethernet cable to plug in. Now I’d assume it’s either ethernet or wireless.</p>
<p>IV is the only wireless dorm to my knowledge. But you might want an ethernet cable for a faster connection sometimes.</p>
<p>Most dorms already have lofted beds. If your dorm doesn’t, or you want even more space under an already lofted bed, you’re supposed to buy a certain product at the book store, but I’m not sure how strictly enforced that rule is- for the most part, the standard lofted beds should cover any lofting needs you have.</p>
<p>The only dorm with guaranteed wireless (some dorms you can pick it up from other campus buildings, but the connection is usually poor) is International Village, though I’d recommend an ethernet cable anyway. You can have wireless routers in any dorm that ISN’T International Village.</p>
<p>Yeah, just to repeat said above, you can totally buy a small wireless router for yourself (and maybe your roommates) for all dorms EXCEPT in International Village, which is already wireless. </p>
<p>There are particular dorms where you can’t loft the beds more than a few inches off the ground (with risers), but I can’t remember which ones those are.</p>
