call me stupid....but, i have always wondered how they pair you with another dorm roomate...is it like if ur asian, they will pair u with an asian?

im really curious!!

This made me laugh.

im serious!!! i dont want to be paired with some dork…or geek

what about a geeky nerdy cute athletic boy like me?

im a boy…sooo…not even…hahahha

Let me rephrase this.

You will fill out some form about your preferences in a roommate (things such as cleanliness or sleeping habits.) There is no “Do you prefer nerdy or cool students?” box (or at least there better not be.)

And no, they to do not match you based on race…

ohhh…ok, thats good =D

how will they sort me if i say i love clean room but i somehow manage to keep my room a total mess XD

do people always get along with their roomates?

@superdoo1
They will put you with someone else who likes a clean room and you can fight with him all year about being clean (:

Unfortunately people do not always get along with their roommates. And it’s not just if your Asian that they pair you with an Asian, no matter who you are you get paired with an Asian. ;)

These are the questions (Y/N):

@supernaut thank you, that was helpful! (:

in my opinion, that survey really doesn’t do crap. in my suite alone, 2 of the rooms they don’t even talk to their roommates at all… talk about awkward. so it’s like that survey is made pretty much just to make sure you can co-exist with him/her in a room (i.e, cleanliness , sleep patterns, etc)

so really, i’d say it’s basically luck/destiny/fate if you get along with your roommate. my roommate is literally my best friend and I hope she is my best friend for life. the room next door to me, they’ve maybe had 5 legitimate conversations.

A lot of people have really bad roommate stories. But then again, most people have decent if not good roommates. Yes, it’s possible you’ll end up hating your roommate. There’s even a website called something like “hatemyroomm8.com” for people who do. However, remember that people tend to focus on the bad, not the good.Talking about how decent your roommate is 1) doesn’t make for a good story and 2) doesn’t stick in people’s minds as well. I personally like my roommates quite a bit. Do they annoy me in some ways? Yes. Do I annoy them in some ways? Of course. But overall we have some pretty good conversations and a lot of fun. Be willing to negotiate, be somewhat easygoing and not get too offended and you’ll be fine. If you aren’t willing to do that, opt for a single.

My roomate was a marijuana smoker he converted two suitemates already

Based on the school being 50% Asian, flip a coin, you can get an Asian
