does dorman hall have doors on their shower stalls or curtains?(im a guy) is there sinks in the rooms? someone HELPPPP

Um, of course they have some kind of covering. I can’t imagine they wouldn’t. The hall showers aren’t locker rooms! Can any other guy confirm this? I’m a girl, so I don’t actually know. But it seems crazy they wouldn’t have curtains.

Well in the girl’s bathrooms the showers are set up so they have like a little closed off changing area before the actual shower. So the actual shower has a curtain, and I think the changing area has a door (but it’s been awhile, it might be a curtain).
I’ve never been in the boy’s bathrooms but I imagine it’s the same set up.
But there are no sinks in the rooms.

oh ok. i hope so… IF SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS FOR SURE TELL ME.

They definitely have some type of covering. It’s a community bathroom, but not communal showers.

does anybody have anything to add about dorman hall? oh and i did find out that dorm hall has curtains… oh well please fill free to add info about the hall in general =))

oh and if anyone else is wondering about community style bathrooms for guys… all of the dorms at fsu that are community style for guys only have curtains and not doors. i know for sure that the girls community style bathroom in Deviney hall has doors that you can lock lmao. oh well. i guess thats what i get for being a dude… anybody have anything to say about dorman?

dorman is probably one of the “nicer” community style dorms. not as bad as kellum at least. kellum has more parking available though. each room in dorman has 2 beds, 2 dressers, and two desks. the closets are decent sized. it’s located on west jefferson so it’s right across from a few of the sorority houses. it’s also right next to deviney if you have friends that are going to be staying there.

oh thats good =))). im glad i chose the nicer one lol. i heard kellum was pretty bad… well im excited now ^.^

^ yeah I heard the same about kellum as well. My friend is living in there this semester and she stressed to ne how much she didn’t recommend it and encouraged me to apply early for housing unlike what she did

i live in deviney now. id have to say its better than dorman. deviney got carpet put in, which is better than walking on the cold tile. dorman has exposed pipes running all over the place. deviney is the best community style dorm on campus.

Wow, thats brings great incite that might change shawn189s mind about wanting to stay in dorman

The floors without carpet are tile?..I live in Reynolds and it’s not tile…just like hard plastic or something, doesn’t get cold…

well i would rather have tile because it is easier to clean. i would have to vacuum the carpet more often than i would have to clean tile. tile is stain resistant unlike carpets. and if the tile is cold ill just wear socks. and i’ve seen picture of dorman hall and there really aren’t that many exposed pipes all over the place. and if there are exposed pipes they’re not going to be in the bedroom. also people that i have talked to have said that dorman and deviney are very similar. im sensing some biasness in your statment “i live in deviney now”, “deviney is the best community style dorm on campus.”… but i could be wrong. im pretty sure people in dorman probably say the same thing.

Yeah i agree with shawn189 in saying that palmbeach561’s answer could be bias, but then again anybody you ased who has lived in a particular dorm will give you a biased answer based on what they know. That’s why i stand firm in believing the newly accepted freshmen(like me), should make it a point to visit the campus housing before their actual term, if they are able to.

Deviney is conveniently located and suits me fine. It’s not fancy, but the rooms are larger than Smith and Kellum community style dorms which are cramped. The rent for a year at Deviney is almost $1000 less than the suite style dorms. Deviney and Dorman (right next to Deviney) are like a Motel 6, but without the bugs and thugs.

^ wow! bugs and thugs! REALLY!?lol

yeah i heard deviney and dorman are practically identical. and i heard you only get bugs if you leave bags of food open in your bedroom. never heard about the thugs tho ■■■■■. im kinda at the point where like i dont really care that im going to dorman or not because i know its one of the better community style dorms on campus and im pretty sure ill be fine. im kinda in the excitement phase of im going to college finally! phase lol.

Tallalassie definitely said that they’re like a Motel 6, but WITHOUT the bugs and thugs…calm down haha

i don like bugs… ='(((
