My daughter finally received her assignment - she was in the 6000's as a transfer student who took her sweet time in giving me her choices for housing - argh. So, she's on the 6th floor :-)

Well, I suspect Dorman isn't all that great considering it is one of the older buildings. My happy note is that she will be just down Landis Green from Bellamy where the majority of her courses will take place - woo hoo.

Other than the few pics on the web site we have no idea what this hall looks like, how big the rooms are, etc

Any information you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.

Call housing on 850-644-2860 or Dorman Hall directly on 850-644-3229 and they should be able to give you the dimensions of the rooms. If I remember correctly from the IRHC carpet offer, the rooms were bigger than Deviney requiring a larger carpet.

Here is an old picture of a room in Dorman:

Dorman's one of the dorms that needs renovating...its on the list, I hear.

I just started summer c, Im in broward, which is like a hotel, but I have friends in dorman and we partied there. It smells like weed in certain sections and there is this weird odor through out the whole building, like a wet smell. My friends hallway has bacardi stickers all over everyones doors, its an ugly place, not horrible, but its very very very sociable, I like it for that.

Buy DAMP RID and hang it in the closet. The old dorms are "moist". Maintenance can provide a dehumidifier if the room needs it after the summer.
