Where do most of the freshman live? Is there a most popular campus for underclassmen/freshman? I'm an incoming engineering major so I know most of my classes will be on Busch, but I don't want to dorm on a campus if it's going to be people who never go out or have fufn, because that's what I hear about Busch. Anyone have a take?

Most of the dorms are for underclassmen, so anywhere you go will have freshmen. If you’re an engineering major, I’d suggest you dorm on Busch or Livingston for convenience, because the REXB from Douglass is awful and the College Ave buses take a while. Any place you dorm will have people you can have fun with; you’d be surprised at the number of people who live on Busch and like to party and have fun.

Currently the most popular campus to live on is Livingston because of the dining hall and the new shops under the apartments. The Livingston dorms aren’t that great though. The Quads are out of the way and the Towers are really hot in the summer and kind of small. The dorms on Busch in the BAMM complex have air-conditioning and are relatively nice compared to other places. Douglass is very out of the way and has a lot of older buildings, but Nicholas has nice bathrooms, Lippincott is near the dining hall, and Perry and Voorhees are newly renovated (though they’re out of the way). Gibbons is out of the way and a little old, but its rooms are nice. I’m not too familiar with College Ave but I found their dorms were also pretty old but they’re conveniently located. College Ave gets /very/ loud on the weekends, though.

Anywhere you live will have people you can go out with and have fun with; you make your freshman year worthwhile. Choose the campus based on your own preferences rather than what you’re hearing. Yes Busch has a lot of people who need to study, but they like to have fun, too. And because you’re majoring in engineering, you might need that time to study as well.

Hope this helps!

righthandinleft, thanks that was helpful

If you are doing engineering I’d pick Busch or Livingston. Both are nice campuses with plenty of freshmen.
