Dorming with someone a year ahead

Would it be difficult to dorm with a sophmore when I am a freshman? What dorms have a lot of sophmores and would I be put in a mostly sophmore dorm because of this?

yes, he will make you his *****.

I think it’d be fine. I am transferring as a junior, so unless I get a freshman someone will have been there longer than me. I am looking forward to having someone I can ask, “so where can I find…” questions to, or perhaps a freshman who will be just as clueless as I am-- that would be refreshing! I don’t have much experience with Mich yet, obviously, however the other colleges I’ve been to there really hasn’t been a huge divide between the different classes. I don’t even know what year some of my friends are in.

Worst comes to worst, there are plenty of other places to study-- you never have to be in your dorm besides to sleep if you REALLY don’t want to be. But I’m sure it’ll be fine anyway.

I just want to know if I will be put in an almost all sophmore dorm. It’d suck because it would be harder to meet other freshman that way.

I doubt it, most of the classes you’ll be taking will be filled with freshman and you will meet tons of them at orientation, that’s pretty much what college orientation is usually for.

I am not ignoring your question about mostly-sophomore dorms, I just don’t know the answer to that, someone else will have to jump in. To my knowledge there really isn’t such a thing, I thought it was pretty scattered everywhere-- though I think most of the freshman I knew lived either in West Quad or somewhere on North campus, I only know so many people.

There aren’t any. Freshmen are the majority in pretty much all dorms. You’ll be able to meet freshmen in your dorm, no matter where you are.
