If you really want a single and, in your housing application, say so (and give a reason), chances are pretty good you'll get one.

In general, the housing situation is pretty awesome. All rooms are large compared to other schools. Clark is recently renovated and Fauver is brand new (both dorms house only freshmen and have one room doubles), and both are fairly gorgeous dorms. Fauver has been looked to as an example by other colleges looking to build new dorms.

The older dorms are also fantastic and have a lot of character. The rooms in the Butterfields are usually pretty huge. (Well, except this year; because of a housing crunch they made some of these huge doubles into temporary triples). WestCo and the Nics both have singles and two-room doubles available, and have balconies.

Really... any housing option is FANTASTIC as compared to most other schools. There really are no bad options. You can't lose, IMO :D
