Dorms arrival date for international students

Hi everyone! :D
I have been accepted as an international student at UCLA this fall! (Yeaah!) I'm so happy :)
I have already booked my housing options, but I still don't know in which I am. I have asked for a room at the Halls and at the Residential Plazas.
My question, Do you know when these sites open their doors for international students? I will start classes on 23 September, but I would like to be there a week earlier.
Do you know if I could stay in my dorm from 18 September, for example? Or should I wait to buy the flight tickets?
I would like to pay this as soon as possible because airlines are continually raising their prices, and I have to catch the plane from Europe; Soooo expensive.
Thank you so much!! :D

Melcia: you need to contact the UCLA Housing Office. They really are the only ones who could answer your questions about housing and when you can arrive.

Seriously, you think the right place to ask is on the Internet and not to UCLA housing office? What is someone gives you a date, you show up, and the doors are closed?

@Mikemac - LOL.

@Melicia - Typically it would be the same as any other student. I would check the official UCLA website, or contact the housing office tomorrow when they’re open for that date.

It’s usually 10-14 days before the first day of classes, but get it from a UCLA employee just to be sure.
