Dorms? (Mainly North Campus)

Hello. I just enrolled as a freshman (class of 2020) into OSU’s Engineering program for this upcoming academic school year and am now trying to figure out residence hall dilemnas.

I have determined to live in North Campus…but my question here is, where in it?

I am fully aware that 4 new halls are currently in the process of being built and will be done for my class for the 2016-2017 year. Along with this, North Campus will be obviously cleaned up from the construction. I’ve considered Taylor Tower, but am still looking around. I would strongler prefer to live with just one other person. I would not want 3 or 4 people roaming around in these small dorm rooms.

I would like to use this thread for a discussion of not only North Campus halls but any other feedback about anything else with residence inquiries.

What would you guys prefer for incoming freshman majoring in Engineering wanting to live with one other person and still wants to be involved within the university and other social aspects of it? Again, I have determined wholeheartedly to live in North Campus. South and West are not considered even in the slightest.

If needed, I’ll edit this post if there’s anything else that comes to mind. Thanks, guys.

If you want to live with One other person north campus is cool but south campus (only Park-Stradley and Smith-Steeb) may have good options. South campus will have mostly freshmen and considering you mentioned something about being social, is where all the good bars will be. North campus will be mostly sophomores…which is fine but I’m concerned it’ll be a little crowded. If I were you I would find one more roommate through FB or something and just request a double somewhere on campus, and put your prefs as Park-Stradley and then a few places on North campus. Don’t do Taylor…I suggest Raney and Scott
