What are the best dorms on south campus? Most social dorm? Nicest rooms? It sounds like freshman don't have a lot of say about where they end up, but I thought I would ask anyway. :)

D1 lived in Craige her first year. It’s a mid-rise and it set up suite style where 8 girls (4 rooms) share a single bath at the end of the hall. It’s close to the Dean Dome but that’s about it. Getting anywhere mid-campus or near Franklin St. is about a 20 minute walk, uphill. Craige is an older building and it shows. Many of her friends lived in Hinton-James, E-house, and Norton – so that was convenient. This year she’s in Cobb and is much happier.

The older buildings (eringhaus, craige, hinton james, morrison(remodeled) are the best IMO. They are way more conducive to socializing/meeting people but they can be slightly run down. The newer dorms are nice but I wouldn’t live there.

Koury and Horton are pretty new, but it all depends on who lives on your floor. It’s the people that make it social.
