I've been at Cornell for a week so far skiing (we're doing the best we can with the snow) and have been staying at LXA. It was great while it was just a few other brothers in the house and we could sleep in their rooms but now everyone is moved back in so I've been sleeping on the couch... I can't wait to move back into my room. I plan on being the first one back in the building.

when do u think the overall population will move in? i'm a spring transfer and have no clue who my roommates are. i was hoping to move all my crap in before they all came. i'll be there first thing tomorrow morning

how's the skiing right now? We should get plopped with some more snow soon.

ajp,

I am a spring transfer also and I plan on moving in tomorrow morning (about to catch my flight later tonight)...Were you placed in temporary housing?

thehawk, I'm a spring transfer as well. Which residence are you in?

nope, im in a freshman townhouse (i'm a sophomore)

im a soph in one of the high rises on north (temporally)

what is the meaning of temp housing? at my old school it was a lounge made into a room for 4-5 people. it seems like temp housing at cornell is just a normal room in an udesirable place. is that true?

Yeah they told me it's a converted lounge and that I'll probably stay there for at least 2 weeks

thehawk, are you going to be in Jameson? That's where I live and the only building I know with converted lounges, although there might be one in High Rise 5.

ajp87 - i think most people rushing will move in tomorrow afternoon, you should be fine.

gomestar - the skiing is awful. our home mountain this year is song instead of greek peak. it was closed until saturday so last week we took a mini trip to vermont which was a lot of fun. we trained on saturday for the first time of real coaching and today was rained out. they had one run open and it was raining in the morning and slushy. i doubt we will be skiing tomorrow but even if we do im not going to move in.

Can we do add/drop at home? I'd like to stay home till Friday or Saturday at the latest. That's the only thing I'm worried about. That and maybe the textbook supply...

when is add drop anyway? im sure you can...

18th. I wonder if the Cornell Store is gonna have any sales on old stock of Macbooks. :o
