dorms: the best and the worst

I posted this in the Cornell 2012 forum but I guess asking people who haven't lived at Cornell yet aren't the best people to ask about housing, so here it is:

I'm heading to my first year of college with a single room on the fifth floor of Dickson from Cornell's dorm lottery. I've been hearing a lot about the dorm's different reputations and feels, so I was wondering what everyone thought about the best and worst dorms at Cornell, pros and cons, descriptions, whatever else there is to tell about the different buidlings. Thoughts?

if you click "search this forum" and type in "dickson", you can find many threads about dickson with a lot of useful/interesting information

you cant go wrong with dickson...it just depends on what your personality is...

I'm in 5561, you?

I've got 5604, so I'm going to hate myself going up and down 5 flights every day but at least I'll be in great shape haha

And I'm not really worried about how good my dorm is, I was just wondering what the different places were like, maybe give some umbrella reassurance to anyone who wants to know about their own place, you know?

theres no elevator in dickson?

Elevator is ridiculously slow.
