Dorms?

What would be the best on campus dorm for an incoming freshman? I'd like to meet new people and have a central location. thanks :)

I’d like to know too, but for an incoming transfer student!!

“The best residence hall in my opinion is Cawthon Hall. It’s right on Landis Green, three steps away from Strozier, a three minute walk from the Suwannee Room (campus cafeteria), is the most centrally located of the east side halls, and has more character than the newer Wildwood and Degraff halls. If FSU Housing had a Monopoly game, Cawthon would be Board Walk. The only negative is that it’s renovated, therefore it requires its residents to buy a mealplan.”

I’m pretty sure you have to be in either music or WIMSE to live in Cawthon. I heard of a guy who changed majors and had to move out of Cawthon this semester.

Do some research so you don’t waste one of your choices on the housing application.

My post above is incorrect. I found information that says certain floors in Cawthon are reserved for non-music and WIMSE but at this late date I don’t think you would get a number that would be low enough to be assigned there initially. Maybe you would be able to switch there though.
