Did anyone else in the honors college choose to live in Ellicott?

I did! I’m an incoming freshman

Im going to be a freshman too!

I’d actually prefer Governors as opposed to Ellicott but whatever. Not a huge difference.

Governors is terrible, no elevators, terrible layout, not really “closer” to campus.

Don’t agree with you on anything there.

Governors has no need for elevators - it’s 3 stories. The most you have to walk is two flights of stairs. Bit of a pain to move in and out, but otherwise, if you don’t want to walk the stairs…stop being so lazy.

I lived there two years and the layout is weird, but much better in my opinion. Hallways are smaller and quieter. More common areas to work, study, hang out, etc. Felt much more like a home to me than a traditional dorm with long hallways and occasional lounges.

And I don’t think you can dispute that it’s closer. It’s only a few hundred feet from the end of the spine. NSC is only a 2 minute walk, and you can walk the rest of the spine without going outside. Ellicott is somewhere between a quarter and half mile away, and completely outside.
