<p>You don't choose (except substance-free housing). You're assigned to a dorm in mid-summer.</p>
<p>Yeah, and the housing survey and all that information will be sent out sometime in late May or June after everyone accepted via RD has decided whether or not they're going to Duke.</p>
<p>how do you get room with AC? Is it pruely by chance?</p>
<p>unless you have a medical need for an ac, getting one is purely by chance. of course if you have allergies or asthma or something, specify that you need/want an ac unit, and if you're not in an ac dorm, they'll install a unit.</p>
