so lets hear about the housing, maybe some pictures too? where its freakin ROCKIN?

Hard to tell from the online pictures - are some of the dorms bigger rooms than others? They seem really TINY! Square footage listed anywhere?

you can always ride bike you know...

there's also the bus, which stops by FT every 15 min.

is manzantia village popular? It seemed to be VERY nice...

Manzanita Village is the nicest/newest of them all, but typically only a select few freshmen will get in as they're reserved for upper classmen.

I wouldn't suggest living in FT simply because it is far. It may not seem that far, but when you're trying to get back to your room in pouring rain or a freezing night after studying late night at the library, that trip home can appear interminable (buses don't run that late.) And even so, getting on a bus packed with people isn't all that great. Living in Santa Cruz, San Mig, Anacapa, Santa Rosa, or San Nic would be the best choice for freshmen year since it's situated closest to the heart of classes. Not only that, but it's easier to get to events on campus than taking the bus.

so what's the most popular housing choice? can anyone make a official list?

I personally LOVE Francisco Torres because you have a bathroom attached to your room (though you share it with 3 other people) and it has its own swimming pool, dining commons, volleyball court, and fitness center! It's like living in a hotel, but I agree that it is far away from campus ( about a 10 min bike ride) But hey, I think it is worth the work out! Also, 1/3 of freshman live there, so you can make friends easily!
