Dorms

My son is a transfer and was placed in Baker. Anyone have information on that place? I believe it has its own dining hall and live-in professors.

One of the best dorms on West Campus. Like you said, it has a dining hall and a few live-in professors.

Food there is amazing as well. I believe this year Flora Rose will serve hot breakfast while Baker will serve a continental one, but I’m not 100% sure.

I believe the first commenter is thinking of Becker, not Baker. If it’s Baker Tower or North Baker Hall, it’s part of Cook House; if it’s South Baker Hall, it’s part of Rose. It’s one of the gothic buildings on West Campus, which have an older style than the main buildings. The dining halls will be in the main buildings, but they’re right next door so they’re super easy to access. He’ll be able to eat at any of the dining halls on West Campus (or elsewhere on campus if he wants) and once a week he’ll have a special House Dinner in whichever main building his gothic is part of. Each main building has professors assigned to it and will hold activities throughout the year. Basically West Campus as a whole is a great place to live and has a lot more pros than it does cons.

@Ranza123 Ah yes, my mistake. I always get those two confused.

Great cool old dorm. Good pick in my opinion.
