How are the dorms at P'ton? Are they modern, old, renovated, etc

Yes.

Some are old (lots of Rocky, Mathey), some are modern (things like Ellipse, Wilson's Clapp), some are renovated (Rocky's Little, Patton). Really a wide array.

Well how r freshman dorms

He is talking about freshman dorms...

I'd advise going to princeton.edu and looking it up. There are pictures around of the residential colleges and their dorms. Just remember that residential life for freshmen is based around the residential college. You get placed in it randomly and into a dorm randomly. While some are nicer than others, I've heard they're all better than the average college dorm.

Dorms vary at every school. Very few have uniform frosh dorms.

Are the older dorms a bit dilapidated?

Nah, theyre fine. I myself had an unrenovated dorm from the 60s and its good. Just as mzhang said, the only school I know of withi uniform frosh dorms is harvard. If you've ever seen them, I'd say our dorms are pretty much equal (though there are definately a number of people that got screwed here and have pretty ****ty rooms) to the Harvard frosh dorms and way better than the stuff I've seen at MIT.

Even the dorms in Harvard Yard will vary in quality.
