Dorms

I was wondering if anyone knew what specifically is in a Rodney double. I know it says 2 beds, dressers, wardrobes, and desks, but i was interested in finding out how tall the dresser and wardrobe is, what type of desk it is, and if the wardrobe has drawers. i cant seem to find an actual picture of the dorm which would be the most helpful when buying my stuff.

I lived in Russell my frosh year...and only went in Rodney a few times.(So don't quote me.) I believe the wardrobe should be a an in-wall closet. The dresser should be 5 of 6 drawers so it should reach your chest if you are about 5'5. The desk should be a plain desk and possibly a pull-out for the keyboard. Nothing fancy...just the basics.

I had to stay in a Rodney double over the summer when I worked at orientation. Latoya is right about the dresser. However, the wardrobe is not in the wall. It is a giant piece of furniture that takes up a lot of space. There is about one foot of space, give or take, from the top of the wardrobe to the ceiling. Also, there is one drawer at the bottom of the wardrobe. The desk is very simple with 3 drawers on the left side and one big drawer that comes out of the middle. Unfortunately there is no shelf on the top of the desk like in Russell.

it depends on which hall you live on. But for most of them, the Rodney Double room's wardrobe measures 56"H x 32"W x 24"D. The dress is 47"H x 24"W 20"D with 5 drawers. Each of them is measured 15.5" wide and 20" deep. This is Rodney A. But the other halls are just the same.
