Dorms

What college is known for their Dorms? I heard that Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas has the nicest dorms. Just want some feedback!!

Bryn Mawr has really nice dorms -- mostly singles, hardwood floors, the works.

The Princeton Review's "Dorms Like Palaces":

Boston University and Northeastern have built beautiful new dorms recently...spacious condominium style residences with million-dollar views of the Boston skyline. They're making an aggressive effort to compete with more elite but older schools with more limited housing options.

NYU has some extraordinary housing as well, but beautiful apartments in Manhattan don't come cheap; my girlfriend paid $10,000 a semester for a double in a building a 20 minute bus ride from the main area of the university while she was there!

i know some where u can pay $700-something a month if u can split a 2 bdr. in manhattan my sister has one...its in a decent area

Yes but we're talking about dorms specifically (or apartments turned into dorms)...students at NYU generally pay for the comfort and security of living around other students and not having to endure the exigencies of New York real estate brokerage.

Pomona has, without question, the nicest dorms of any school I've looked at. Something like 75% of freshman have singles, and virtually all upperclassmen (most students have a single their whole 4 years, unless they request a double), they're huge, they're air conditioned, the buildings and setting are gorgeous, etc...

Stanford also has nice dorms. A lot of divided doubles. I was in Kappa Alpha Theta for EPGY and loved it, it was divided double plus single bathrooms down the hall.

Thanks for all the Input!! I know Pomona has nice dorms, I love them!!

Duke is "known for its dorms," all right. :(
