Which Freshman dorms are the best?

for suites its roth and kelly as far as I heard.

The concept of a "freshman dorm" isn't really meaningful at Stony Brook, since while freshmen (almost always) room together, halls and suites are often mixed. This fall the word is that there probably won't be any suites with more than one freshman room, since you can't really have more than one triple per suite!

Personally, I like suite-style better... it feels more like you're living like an actual human being, since at least you know all the people you're sharing your bathroom with. Some people disagree, since some corridors can be very social and fun with everyone leaving their doors open all the time, which is less likely in a suite style dorm. On the other hand, having a common room is much better for having people over.

Either way, if they're doing freshman housing the same way it's been done in the past you don't get a direct choice in the matter, only the option of trying to manipulate your undergraduate college placement so that you end up in a dorm you like.

can anyone describe the dorms at gray college??? =]

I'm living there. It's corridor style I like it. The rooms are bigger than other quads =] what else do you want to know......
