Which ones are the cheapest, which ones are the nicest, which ones are the closest to everything else and which ones should i pick overall?

Basics: Nason, Cary, Crockett, Hall, and Bray are the same cheapest price and are pretty nice. Barton is the nicest and most expensive. All the freshman dorms are pretty close to classes except BARH which is farther from it all. BARH has its own dining hall though and Idk about the rooms there.

Friends of mine and my cousin have lived in or are currently living in Hall, Barton and Crockett and from what ive heard the identical dorms (Crockett, Bray, Nason and Hall) will give you the best experience. They have all told me that because of the set up of barton people are not forced to be as social as they are in other buildings that have lorger hallways, and floor bathrooms. The only issue that i see with the buildings such as crockett is that having spent a night there in october the rooms over heat in the warm weather but that doesnt last long.

I stayed in the Quad freshman year. Its mainly an upperclassman dorm, but there are few freshman sections. Its definently a much different social experience because the dorm units are a lot smaller. Also, I usually went to a different dinning hall (Russel sage) then most freshman, because it was closer. The Quad is also really old. I liked it though because I made a few friends and it was the closest to campus and it had AC. Freshman hill really isn't much farther away though. I'm staying in the Quad again this year.

Prior to enrollment, RPI will send you a form with all the dorms & their prices. You tick the box of the one you want & you got it. (provided you send it in promptly).
