Dornsife Scholars Program Launched at USC

<p>High achieving seniors in the Dornsife School of Letters, Arts and Sciences will have the opportunity to apply for the new Dornsife Scholars recognition and $10,000 prizes. </p>

<p>USC now has undergraduate recognition programs which include Discovery Scholars, Renaissance Scholars and Global Scholars. This new designation will include students from the Dornsife School of LAS only. It will recognize seniors who have excelled academically, made a committment to improving the lives of people and addressed vital social challenges.</p>

<p>Approximately ten Dornsife Scholars will be named this year and awarded $10,000 prizes to be used for graduate or professional school studies.</p>

<p>Applications for 2012 scholars must be submittted by April 1. 2012. </p>

<p>Requirements:</p>

<p>Students have a major in USC Dornsife
A GPA of 3.5 or above in a rigorous curriculum
Participation in independent research in a lab or field project or engagement in archival or library researach
Academic study abroad or participation in short-term international internships, research projects or programs such as Problems Without Passports.</p>
