I got into WCAS (cognitive science) and Music (performance) at Northwestern. I am wondering how well the double degree program is coordinated and also what the cognitive science major at NU is like (I am also thinking about doing Music cognition instead of performance). Some answers from double degree students would be really really appreciated. Thanx.

Can someone tell me what Cognitive Science at NU is like??

I don't know anything about Cognitive Science, but I know people doing the double degree in music and liberal arts; it seems to be very well organized. Also you can drop either of the degrees before the end of soph year and graduate in four years.

I can't tell much about the cog sci program specifically, except to tell you that I think it's what I'm doing also. There are a few classes that are specific to the department, but half the major is a focus on cognition within a field you choose (so music cog, linguistics, AI, learning, etc.)
