I just read a thread on the main board about sending in deposits (called Double Dipping) to more than one school. Apparently from the thread, it seems that at the worst it is almost illegal, and at best, unfair to students on waitlists. Thoughts anyone? I did think about sending in deposits as we got acceptances at as a way to "hedge your bets" and get first choice of housing, but did not do so. I did not send in the one for 3rd choice, only one for the 1st choice but not ruling out sending the deposit for the 2nd choice if she got an almost free ride. I figured I had until May 1 to request a refund and if she changed her mind after that, I was prepared to lose it. We don't have any financial aid info, only the merit info. This whole wait until the last minute thing is making people crazy as it is. Thoughts anyone?

Has no one sent in a deposit yet??
