Can one do a double major at CMC where one of the majors is not offered at CMC (such as music at Scripps)? I know it it fairly common to double major within CMC, but is it also possible to have a major at CMC and another major which is only offered on another college within the consortium?

Probably a dumb question, but can a guy pick up his second major at Scripps? :D

I think double majoring w/ a major not offered at your campus but at another is very common. I do know a male Pitzer student who majored in music, as well as something else. It was a few years ago, but I doubt things have changed much.

I know a lot of kids who dual major in a CMC major and another schools major. Ie) a good amount do pitzer’s Media Studies major.

The general rule for it is that for you to major “off-campus,” there cannot be a comprable major at CMC. So I could not, in theory, major in Psych at Scripps because we have that here at CMC.

I myself am an Organizational Studies major at Pitzer, although I am a CMC student.
