Double Legacy

I am a double legacy at SUNY Stony Brook (both of my parents went there) but my gpa isn't that high and neither are my sat scores but my ecs are on point could get in?

They list alumni relation and EC’s as a “considered” attribute, the least important. Most important are GPA, rigor and test scores. Most admits have an SAT around 600 and a GPA around 3.75.

If that doesn’t describe you admission is not likely. Sorry.

“gpa is a 3.12 and my current sat score is a 1420”

Is that 1420/2400? That will be tough as state schools don’t care all that much about legacy and Stony Brook “considers” EC’s but does not consider them as an important factor. Only 7% of the applicants with that GPA were accepted in 2012-2013, and your SAT is way low as well.

But since you are out of state and thus higher pay, a maybe.
