I would love to go into the genetics field. Can I take pre-med and biotech as majors and a minor in genetics? I specifically would like to be a genetics counselor but Im open to any career in genetics.

it would be easier if you just majored in Pre-Med (pre-professional program I’m assuming) then take biotech and genetics as minors… or you can just major in Pre-Med then get an MS in biotech or genetics

Assuming “biotech” and genetic majors are typical biological science majors, the courses required for either major will include the usual pre-med required courses.

Pre-med is not a major; medical schools accept students of all majors but typically want to see courses in chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and physics (possibly a few others depending on school) in your record.
