Double Major Acct. & Econ?

If I major in Acct. at McIntire ( UVA's B-school) would it make sense to also major in Econ.

Does this make me more competitive in the work world?

Would this become too overwhelming as far as course work etc.?

Is a major in Econ worth it or can Acct. degree stand alone?

Or should I just major in Acct. and focus my energy to getting a perfect GPA?

INPUT and ADVICE PLEASE!

I am not looking to make millions of dollars. I simply want a job out of a college for a few years in corporate America, go to Grad school and then I want to focus on starting my own company.

No. Just pick one major and do well in it.

Why are so many high school students obsessed with the idea of double majoring? What can you possibly do with two bachelor’s degrees that you can’t do with one?
