Would it be possible to double major in Economics and Mathematics after transfer to a university?
I'm doubtful that I would be able to graduate in a total of 4yrs if I decide to do it. Maybe I could increase the creditload at my CC and finish in 1-1.5 yrs, that way I'll get an extra semester later on. Would this be possible?

I will be starting my CC classes in Jan and plan to head on over to UVA.

Of course it's possible. You can be one of those students at CC who takes many units each semester and clears at many pre-requisites in two years so that by the time you're at UVA, you'll be ready to work on that Math and Economics major. However, it is not the question of being at a CC or not. People who double major typically end up spending five years as undergraduates even if they start their freshman year at a university. Because some community college classes are much easier than their counterpart courses at universities, it can actually be advantageous because heavy unit semesters at community colleges are achieved by students more than they are at a university. If you work hard too at UVA, you can finish your upper division in two years accumulating to only four years of school.

I've also looked into graduating early then going to UVA. If this is what you plan to do then you are going to have to apply to be accepted to the University without the guaranteed agreement. This is because according to the university, to partake in the agreement you have to agree to complete all req's for your degree within 2 years. Thus if you are accepted without the agreement you will have more freedom/ and or time.

Yeah like Tiberius stated, I myself took my GE classes that clears prereqs for both Anthropology and History, along with my intended major, English. I'm also thinking about double majoring, but its up to to you if you have the time/money.

The only lingering doubt that I have about going to CC would be the rigor of the course material of my classes. I feel that when I do transfer, I'm going to end with a world of pain just to cope let alone excel at UVA.
Economics would probably be manageable but maths I feel, is going to be another story altogether.
For those of you who have made the switch already, how hard/easy has it been to adjust to the level of classes at your university?
