Double Major and a minor

This question has probably been asked a lot of times within this website, but I would like a fresh prospective. I was accepted to UMD as mathematics major but am I wondering if it would be hard to double major in mathematics and economics and minor in computer science. For people that have done this (double major, triple major) is it possible to the extent of someone working part time also with a work study (if I am allowed to do that). Any opinions?

Hello UMDHopeful, I congratulate you on your acceptance to the University of Maryland-College Park. I hope that you are well. Yes, you can double major and triple major at UMD. An admission adviser told me this a couple of years ago. It is still happening today. You can double major in any major you want and you can triple major in any major you want. It is possible even if you are working part-time or doing work study. It is possible and you can do this. So, if you want to double major and/or triple major as well as work part-time (or doing work study), then go for it. But, be sure to do well in your classes and do not slack off. Thank you UMDHopeful for your post and I hope this helps you. Thank you.

Yes, you can also do a minor at UMD as well. Good luck. I wish all the best at UMD. With either a double major or a triple major, you can do a minor.

When you go for a double degree, you are allowed more credit hours total before you graduate. (This was/is helpful for both of my D’s who came in with a bunch of AP credits).
D1 graduated with double degrees in physics and astronomy and a minor in German.
