Double major application

Hey everyone!

I’m really happy to be here! I know it’s somehow boring to just ask folks for consultation xD of course I’m more than happy to hear your similar experiences! Anyways, I’m just a sophomore student (or a geek lol) doubled in physics and mathematics! :stuck_out_tongue: I like to apply to American universities in physics or math graduate! I can finish my studies in both four or five years but I’ve confused which one is best for me. As you may know, I’d have more time in five years for studying and conducting in research. Nevertheless, I’ve heard (just heard!) universities prefer four years student to five years’. After all of these stories, I study two fields and I dunno which one fits my case. Any idea? Any experience is welcomed!

I think you mean you are a high school sophomore applying to colleges, yes? Most American universities don’t require you to declare your major when you apply- you generally make that decision by the end of your sophomore year in college- but you can show an “intended major.” Most colleges want you to graduate in 4 years. You can “double major”, which is more work but it is possible in 4 years. I hope that answers your question.
