How hard do you think it would be to get a double major in BME and ME? Both with a specialization.
Taking summer classes, how long do you think it would take?
You can not double major at GT. Instead you would have to get two separate engineering degrees. Here is the relevant language from GT:Georgia tech does not offer double majors but does offer a second undergraduate degree. you must meet all of the requirements for both degrees and earn credit for a total of at least 36 additional hours in excess of the first degree.
A better plan thought of by most GT grads and industry is to major in ME and then get a graduate degree in BME. An undergraduate degree in BME is too general to be valued by a lot of companies. Plus companies like to see work experience so if you do co-op you are looking at a long time.
In the end is there no big difference between these two options?
1.- Getting a undergraduate degree in BME and ME and a graduate degree in BME.
2.- Getting a undergraduate degree in ME and a graduate degree in BME.
There are not many jobs in Biomedical Engineering. Many students at Tech take 5-6 yrs to graduate with just one major.
ok thanks!
