Double Major: Civil E and Construction E

Hi all.
I am a sophomore in Civil, a little more than a semester ahead of schedule.
My college offers a major in Civil and a separate one in Construction Engineering and Management. I want to go to grad school and get my master's, then work.

I've been trying to decide whether I should:

1) stay with CivE only, do internships over the summer and graduate a semester early
2) still CivE only, do Co-op and graduate on time (this might be the most logical decision...but I'm hesitant...)
3) OR double in Construction E, in which I'd only have to take about 8 extra classes. I would have to take 17-18 credits (the max at my school without asking for permission for more...approx. 6 classes) per semester until senior year. Then I would take 15 credits each semester, including a senior project each semester. It's a pretty rigorous schedule, but I know I can do it. And not every single class is a CE/CEM class.

What would be best considering I want to go to grad school?? (I'm already doing research.)

Definitely 1 or 2. Experience is experience however you get it so Co-op/Internship doesn’t matter. You can already work in construction management with a civil engineering degree. I think the work experience would get you allot further.

I basically agree with CivilEngr, though I would lean towards #2 mainly because of timing. If you graduate early, what are you going to do during that 9 month gap? If you have a plan, then that’s great and either #1 or #2 will work out for you.

I’m not sure the benefits of the double major are worth the time.
