I'm set on majoring in English, but I'm considering double majoring in something that is perhaps more practical. So, I was wondering if double majoring in English and econ is a doable goal, or even possible as an option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Woah, I want to do that too =D I'm also worried about the 'impactness' of Econ, and the credit cap though... Has anyone done a double major with econ before? Also they don't seem to have any overlapping credits =(Oh and can you still pick a concentration in english if you want to double major

I'll bet it is, but it'll be a lot of hard work. See your counselor RIGHT AWAY once you get here, cause it'll require very careful planning.

economics is a fairly short major that can probably completed in two years. the lower divs themselves take no more a year to finish (less, if you have ap credit), and you only have to complete them within the ballpark of 130 units. because it is so short, a lot of people i know who are econ majors also have another major, usually poli sci, accounting minor, etc. don't know about requirements for english, though...
