Double major in Accounting & Information System?

What do you guys think about that combo? Any suggestion what might be the strongest combo? Thanks for advice.

Accounting:

language of business, versatile degree

lots of jobs available

Isys:

becoming more and more crucial to business all the time

lots of jobs available

Also, the two are often intertwined in many business environments. To be knowledgeable of both fields is very marketable. I’m a pre-accounting student at BYU (a top accounting program and very good isys program) and I know that the isys majors take more accounting classes than the other non-accounting business majors and the accounting majors take more isys classes than the non-isys business majors. In fact, just this week my accounting prof said that if you can marry the these two disciplines that you would set yourself up very well.

Even if you don’t end up in a career that requires both skill sets, I can’t see much of a downside to this combo of majors. I’m not an expert on the topic, but I would do lots of research on it because it is probably a very good idea.
