double major in different colleges?

Id like to double major in Physics and Philosophy. How would this work at carnegie mellon. which college would i apply to. thanks

double degree.. either

would i need to get admission into both colleges? does this mean i can apply to the less selective of the two, the college of humanities and social sciences and be ok?

you know at cmu you can apply to multiple colleges.. assuming you are accepted you choose from the schools you were accepted to, to attend one(HSS for example). Then just talk to your advisor of your interests and he/she will help you plan your schedule in order to get that double degree. make sure to talk to career services, etc.

You have to apply to both colleges and be accepted to both, but there is a scholars program for people in both MCS and H&SS, I think. If you're accepted by one and rejected by the other, it's possible that you'll be able to take the classes to fulfill one major, but you'll only be guaranteed classes in your official major.

KrazyKow,

Hope you don't mind me asking, how's it going? Orientation, etc...

Everything has been going well. It's geeky, but I love it. Been quite busy with gasp a social life so I've pretty much disappeared from here, I know. Orientation... parts were somewhat stupid, but overall it was fun.
