Hey ya,
I was wondering if a double major in environmental science and biological sciences with a minor in environmental engineering is any good.
And besides that, is a major in environmental science any good? As in job opportunities and stuff? of course Id have to pair it up with a master.
I was leaning toward the dual degree in union college where you get to do a MBA with a BS in 5 years, would that be any help.
Oh and Im not into research, id want have a stable job as in consulting or similar.
Also I wanted to know if I do BS in environmental science and masters of Science in engineering. Does that make me an environmental engineer? And if so, what job opportunities are available.
Basically I want to do something related to bio or environment or both with good job security. I like math and chemistry. But I hate physics so Im staying away from most eng.
Any other suggestions on what majors would interest me other than the above are welcome :)
Many thanks...

bump -_-

I think a double major in Biology would be superfluous if you want to do Environmental work. You don’t need a Master’s degree, but it can be helpful.

If you want to practice Engineering you will (in almost every case) need an Engineering degree, and that will require at least two semesters of Calc.-based physics. In order to get a PE license (important for Env. Eng.) you generally will need a 4-yr. Eng. degree.

An MBA is something to consider down the road, IMO. I know nothing about the Union College, though.
