<p>Alright, I was talking about engineers and not just students in engineering classes, and my point was the engineers are just trying to graduate with a degree and not competing to get in somewhere as is the case with pre-Haas (trying to get into Haas) and pre-med (trying to get into med schools), so while many engineers can effectively aim for 2.0+ GPA pre-meds and pre-haas students tend to aim for as high of a GPA as possible.</p>
<p>FYI: As of this semester, the CS major is open enrolment, i.e. it is no longer impacted.</p>
<p>wait... where did you hear that the major is open enrollment THIS semester? cuz I just talked to the department last week and they said it was not in effect yet..</p>
