Double Major in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design Doable?

I want to double major in ME and ID with a minor in physiology. Is that possible?
I did a mock schedule and Id be able to graduate in 4 years with 16-18 units per semester as well as 9-12 units in the summer terms. I know that ME is insanely hard but I havent heard much with Industrial Design in CSU LB
Initially, I was planning to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona, majoring in ME with a minor in physiology (and get a masters in Biomechanics somewhere else) then attend an art school to get a product design bachelors. But that’ll be too expensive.

I really want to design mechanical body parts but I dont want to ignore my love for aesthetics. In the end, I want my profession to have creativity, both artistically and analytically.

So my question is if doing a double major + minor possible in CSULB? I want to graduate as soon as possible. But of course, I want to have a life, at least once a week will be great.
If not, then getting a masters in ID at an art school possible with a mechanical engineering degree?
What should I do? :frowning:

Thanks so much!

Go talk to the Industrial Design faculty. And the School of the Arts advisors. ID is very hard. Lots of units. But it is a terrific program and their faculty are wonderful. It’s taken a friend of mine 6+ years to 2x in Industrial Design and Anthropology. It’s that intense. Is there a minor in ID?

Unfortunately, there is no ID Minor. If it helps, the first two fall terms will be more focused more on the ID and first two springs will be focused more on the ME. 3rd year will be a a balance of the two. By the fourth, ill almost be done with ID and ill be focusing more on ME, thats if it goes to plan with my summer terms.
How many units did your friend take?
