Hi high school junior here, I want to be a dance major and have already done an extensive amount of research regarding schools, but I need more opinions about getting in and if the schools I'm thinking about applying to are good. So anyway I plan on majoring in Dance and possibly double majoring or minor in (depending on the school) in marketing, it's not that I don't love dance, I do it's my passion, my whole life, I just think its good to be realistic and have a back up right? That's realistic. I'm auditioning for 2 summer intensives, Rockette Summer Intensive and Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary Summer intensive. As far as academics go I'm a AP and honors student, always on honor roll and I have around a 92 GPA according to my unofficial hs transcript as of right now. Dance wise I'm more Jazz and contemporary then Ballet, but I do train and take Ballet. While performing would be great I think choreographing and teaching is again more realistic. With all that being said is it a good idea to double major and is the following list a good list of dance colleges that I can get into?
