Hi! I’ll be a part of the Cornell Class of 2022 and I’ll be studying at CALS. I have a very diverse set of interests and I’m trying to think of what to study once I’m there. How difficult is it to double major in Information Science and Biometrics&Statistics having a minor in AEM/Economics? I know this combination is pretty ambitious, but is it possible to do? How hard will it be? What if I drop one of the majors and make it a minor?
I’d recommend focus mostly on a good balanced first and 2nd semester load, that doesn’t limit future options. See how you adjust to the rigor of Cornell classes, and the new environment. Planning too far ahead can put you on a path where you miss the opportunity to learn something that might make you want to change direction. 15 or 16 credits per semester is basically the average, but you can overload closer to 19/20 per semester, but that workload might be ambitious.
knowledge is a journey, not a destination
