I am asking for some honest feedback about this. I want to double major in Political Science and Business Administration, then minor in Psychology. How feasible is this, if at all? I thoroughly enjoy each of these, but don’t want to regret not doing this one day. Thank you.
Nothing to worry about right now, thats for sure.
Some schools this might not even be possible right off the bat because business and Political Science are usually different colleges within the university (not all but many top to mid tier schools) So when you apply you’ll have to pick ONE school to apply to. Next once you’re there your advisor will ask about plans to double major and minor and you would have to map out your schedule accordingly. If you go to a school with a heavy core you’ll probably have to do extra semesters and you’ll need a lot of credits to graduate.
Now my opinion, unless you want a very specific job, you probably don’t need this mixture of qualifications. Pick the one you want to pursue as a career and major in that, minor in the one that relates and will help with future jobs, and take classes in the one you’re just interested in.
I want to become a lawyer and own my own law firm one day (mix of business and pol. science). @a20171 I am just genuinely into psychology and would love to minor in it for the fun of it.
You don’t need to major in political science for law its just one of the many options. Business administration and a polysci minor would be fine. I’m currently going through the process and you can major in literally anything. It’s good that you’re interested in psych, but it would only make sense to pursue if you can get it done in 4 years which may not be possible considering the requirements of your college. A major and two minors is an option too. The credits needed for a major and minor are not marginal. But like I said, you don’t have to worry about this yet because you’re not in college and don’t know where you’re going so it doesn’t pay to guess if it is feasible or not. At my college, this wouldn’t be possible.
